One of the biggest secrets to a developing website is the structure of the site, based on the relevant keywords.
In this lesson we will define topics and categories that can be used as keywords as the basis for your site.
The easiest way to figure this out is to imagine that your topic by keyword phrase describes your site as a whole, and categories by key phrases refer to various types of information within your site.
In content, themes and categories are key phrases that have a high level of traffic and an acceptable level of competition. Use the program Market Samurai .
Let's start. Launch Market Samurai , in the main window click New Project .
Next, go to the project settings window.
Here we need to set the program the keyword of our project. I want to explore the wedding market. Therefore, I enter the word weddings in the keyword field. You can specify other parameters, but with this later. Click the button Create .
Now, to find a list of keywords related to our main keyword, you need to select the Keyword Research module.
Inside the module for keyword research, press the Generate Keyword ( generate keywords ). Next, the program turns to Google and after collecting key words, gives them to us in the form of a list.
This is a good way to collect initial information. When analyzing it, we will see that there are quite a few words that are well suited to our niche and that Google knows.
For example, take a look at niche planning a wedding " planning a wedding ". To view this niche in more detail, click the key icon to the left of the keyword.
This will create a new tab that will have the name of our chosen keyword.
Between tabs, I can switch as needed. The procedure for researching keywords in the chosen niche is the same. Press the Generate Keyword button ( generate the keywords ).
At this time Market Samurai create a list already for the micro niche associated with the niche planning a wedding " Wedding Planning ".
Now, in order to determine the topic and categories, we need to analyze the obtained keywords in more detail. To do this, click on the button Analyze Keywords in the bottom part of the module.
Not all keywords for micro niches suit us. Excess need to weed out. To do this, we use filters.
From a traffic perspective, we are looking for keywords that can provide us with at least 80 visitors per day. Thus, SEO traffic will be 80.
The second custom filter will check that people use our phrase in their queries. We expose a broad match level of 15%.
As for competition, we are looking for keywords that have no more than 30,000 competing sites.
Using these filters we create the basis for our site.
The more relevant keywords we find the better. If there are very few (1-2), then the niche is likely to be “poor” and you should look for another one. In general, when defining keywords for a topic, you need to research each of them and determine the most appropriate.
For example, I look at the list and see that if I choose the topic wedding planning books ( wedding planning books ), I could create a website that provides comprehensive reviews of many wedding planning books available on the Internet.
For a category, I can define keywords for planning wedding budgets , guides and at the wedding , planning lists , etc.
Site pages are optimized under category keywords.
Now that you understand the principle of searching and researching keywords for topics and categories, you should start to act. Find 3 niches suitable for you and at least 3-4 - keywords for each of them. Remember the filters. Take the settings from this lesson and do the research as a basis.
