No one doubts that the global network is expanding.
New users continue to connect to the Internet, in some countries a more active introduction of modern technologies begins, but if we consider in general, along with the increase in the number of users, a decrease in the percentage of their increase is observed.
Internet development trends were presented in an analysis of Kleiner Perkins Caufield. Byers Mary Meeker.
They conducted their own research and published a report on 213 pages. It presents a lot of interesting points, and we decided to take the most interesting data from it.
The most interesting thing is the reduction in the percentage of new users. These are common, there is a country to take separately, they vary greatly. For example, recently the network in India, Indonesia, Nigeria has been actively developing, but in Japan the rates are very low.
Competition in the network is growing rapidly , prices for storing information and other services are declining, but these are not all trends:
In 2016, there is an increase in positions in almost all areas. The Internet continues to gain popularity, although not at such a serious pace, as has been observed before.
Now the share of Internet users is confidently approaching 50%, that is, almost half of the entire population of our planet uses a global network.
Similar studies help to get a general idea of how the Internet is spreading. As you can see, in many respects, there were recessions earlier, but now again all the graphs are rising, so the Internet is one of the main trends in the world.
